"Our Support, Your Way"
Here at Support on the Way safety is our #1 priority. Covid-19 has impacted us all in numerous ways during this time of uncertainty. Using the Ministry of Education’s document of Operational Guidance during Covid-19 Outbreak, our staff are committed to health and safety of the childcare staff and children through the public health regulations. Our team is also aware of the criteria to re-open as per regulations set out by the Ontario government. This includes; limit attendance, Covid-19 response plan, screen for symptoms, log for daily attendance, frequent cleaning, non-essential visitors and drop-off and pick-up protocols. We have equipped our staff with proper PPE equipment. Thus, giving our staff an opportunity to assist our communities in the re-opening of child cares, leaving the caregivers with piece of mind that their children will be cared for in a safe environment while they return to work.As per regulations, we will be designating a number of staff to each location to avoid transmission of the virus. As per the regulations, set out the centers will then designate our staff to the cohort that is in need of support. All staff have been informed of the guidelines and protocols if demonstrating ANY symptoms of illness and will be contacting us and Public Health immediately. In such an instance, we have prepared a cohort of staff for each center to ensure that coverage needs are met and safety standards are maintained. Support on the Way will provide 15 minutes paid time for our staff to learn new cleaning and food preparation protocols that were developed within each center that will ensure the high- quality staffing the center requires. If our staff are not required as ratio within the program, they are willing to act as a disinfecting and cleaning team to maximize the de-contamination of highly used surfaces.
